These terms cover your use of Goldmute (goldmute.com), a service that makes clean and radio versions of songs. By buying or using Goldmute you agree to them.
1. What Goldmute does
You upload a finished song. Goldmute separates the vocal, finds explicit words, and gives you an edit that removes them from the vocal, along with an editor to adjust every cut. Outside the cuts, the audio is left exactly as you uploaded it.
2. Your songs and your rights
Only upload songs you own or have permission to edit. You keep every right you have in your music; Goldmute claims no ownership of your uploads or your edits. You let us store and process each song to deliver your edit, for as long as it is kept (see section 5).
Training, only if you choose it. If you tick "Help train Goldmute" in your Studio before uploading, you let us keep those songs, and the vocals we separate from them, to train, test and improve Goldmute's models, and you confirm you have the right to allow that. We never publish or share the songs themselves. You can withdraw at any time by emailing us, and we'll delete the copies we kept. Songs uploaded with the box unticked are never used for training.
3. AI makes mistakes
Goldmute runs on machine-learning models. They can miss a word, cut a word that wasn't explicit, or place a cut imperfectly. Listen to every edit before you release it. The editor lets you fix anything, and re-renders are free. You are responsible for checking that an edit meets the standards of wherever you release it.
4. Payment and songs
Prices are in US dollars: $10 for one song, or $30 for five. Payments are processed by Stripe; we never see your card number. Each song you buy lets you upload and process one song, then edit and re-render it as often as you like. If you upload the wrong song, you can swap it for a different one before you download it (once per song you buy). A song that fails to process doesn't use up a purchase.
5. How long files are kept
Uploaded songs and their edits are deleted 7 days after upload, so download what you need. Songs you've chosen to share for training are kept as described in section 2. Songs you've bought but haven't used yet don't expire.
6. Your Studio link
Your purchase comes with a private Studio link instead of an account. Anyone with the link can open your Studio, so keep it private. If you lose it, email us from the address you paid with.
7. Fair use
Don't upload anything illegal, don't try to break, overload or copy the service, and don't resell it without our written agreement.
8. Refunds
Refunds are only given when you ask for one, and never for songs you've bought but haven't used. See the refund policy.
9. Liability
Goldmute is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim is limited to what you paid for the songs involved, and we aren't liable for indirect losses such as lost earnings or a missed release.
10. Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version; changes don't affect purchases already made.
