Goldmute collects as little as it can, and only to deliver your edits.
What we collect
- Your email and payment details. Stripe processes the payment. We receive your email address, the amount and the date, never your card number.
- Your songs. The files you upload, the vocal we separate, the cuts we find, your edits and the files you render.
- Basic technical logs. Our hosting providers record things like IP addresses and browser types to keep the service running and secure.
How we use it
To process your songs, deliver your edits, send receipts and answer you when you write. We don't sell your information and we don't use advertising trackers.
Training, only if you choose it
Your Studio has a box called "Help train Goldmute". It starts unticked. If you tick it, we keep the songs you upload after that, plus the vocal we separate and the words we found, to train and test the models that power Goldmute. We record when you agreed. These copies are kept past the usual deletion date, until you ask us to delete them, and we never publish or share the songs themselves. Songs uploaded with the box unticked are never used for training.
Who processes it for us
- Stripe: payments
- Modal: processing and file storage
- Cloudflare: domain and network
- Google Fonts: the typefaces on this site load from Google, which receives your IP address when they load
How long we keep it
Songs and everything made from them are deleted 7 days after upload, except songs you chose to share for training (see above). Order records (email, amount, date) are kept as long as needed for accounting and tax.
Cookies
Goldmute itself sets no tracking cookies. Stripe's checkout page sets cookies it needs to process payments and prevent fraud.
Your choices
Email hello@goldmute.com to have your songs deleted sooner, to withdraw songs you shared for training, or to ask what we hold about you.
